Regina M. Conceiçaõ has been serving pregnant and postpartum women ever since she was 13 years old; her aunt was her first client.
For 10 years she worked as a doula and child and family specialist for Columbia University Head Start Perinatal Support Program. In 2007 she founded, A Passion for New Beginnings, and has been attending births in New York City and surrounding areas.
Regina is one of the doula consultants that helped launch the Healthy Start Brooklyn By My Side Birth Support Program in 2010 and this year became the program coordinator. Regina was featured in the second episode of Romper Doula Diaries.
Regina is a certified lactation counselor and a DONA International certified birth doula. In her spare time you can find her on the dance floor dancing to kizomba, semba and afrobeats.
